In the spirit of this thread, I'll post a couple of pictures of art made with the help of the X2.

Beautiful !

Are they paintings?
Would you share a link to some of your Art. I’d love to more, please.

Thanks so much for your kind words.

These are composite photographs*, from a series of images I did as part of an art exchange with a cohort of other artists.  Unfortunately I don't have a website yet that I could link you to.  I painted as a young man, then went to graduate school and taught philosophy, film, and English for many years.  Now I'm trying to make the shift back to art, experimenting with photography and mixed media--and of course, painting.  I'm in the process of trying to produce enough of a portfolio to get a foothold again (or a website).

*For instance, the image in post no. 5 is a combination of the stains left by ice-melt on the sidewalk, and the summer Milky Way--plus manipulation, obviously.  The X2 was used to photograph both images that contributed to the composite, if I remember correctly.

Thank you again for your interest.  It inspires me to work harder.

I was having a discussion tonight with a friend that photography and all art was thinking outside the box.
It was a joy to see your creative use of the medium that I love so much Thanks for sharing and I appreciate the reply.... Good stuff!

I love the medium of photography too. It was my creative release and solace through the years of grad school and teaching. And now that I have (theoretically) the time to paint again, photography is integral to my vision.
