Any experience with Lumix 24-105 f4 and 16-35 f4 lenses on an SL?

I seriously considered the Sigma, but a few things stopped me. The extra speed would have been useful on occasion, but the price paid is a  > 50% increase in weight and a 20% increase in length. All other things being equal, getting 14mm over 16mm (7 degrees) didn't seem to be as valuable as having 35mm vs 24mm (19 degrees).  The other issue was the lack of a front element filter and the need for drop ins. The former, particularly if you think someones going to be pointing an arrow at it every now and again. 😉

It may be early copies of the Pano are a bit of crap shoot, can't say, but hopefully mine demonstrates if you get a good copy, it draws pretty well.  Such concerns aside, I think the decision between the two comes down to personal preference when comparing the difference in specification... more speed, more width, more weight, less reach vs. less weight, less speed, more reach.  They both seem vey competent.

I wouldn't count on a UV filter to stop that arrow.

My thinking was that with the 35 APO SC and some M wide angles (28, 24 and 21),  which are just fine on an M10, my Leica 16-35 isn't getting much use, although it does a nice job when I take it out (not too far from the car, however).  I have an order in for the 24 SL/SC, but don't expect to see it this year.  So the small size of the Panasonic and the impressive specs of the Sigma are appealing, but you can't get both in a single lens.
