It's interesting to me to read reactions. I can't tell when these skyscapes become banal or even what makes one "work".

 

Here's in three more; I especially debate the last one since it doesn't have the natural drama of clouds or bright ground. But sometimes I modestly think it has a quality a little like Andreas Gursky's work --if only the image could be printed about 5 feet wide.

I think the 1st shot of the second series, the one with the green circles, created by huge irrigation systems is the best, although they are all fantastic, and as you say would look great on a huge canvas.

Michael -

 

They all work amazingly well from a technical standpoint, and from a compositional standpoint I like them all except the last which is not as interesting to me.

 

RE: Colorado plains. Eastern Colorado is flat, as is a large plain in the Rockines.
