michael friedberg Posted August 4, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted August 4, 2007 It's interesting to me to read reactions. I can't tell when these skyscapes become banal or even what makes one "work". Here's in three more; I especially debate the last one since it doesn't have the natural drama of clouds or bright ground. But sometimes I modestly think it has a quality a little like Andreas Gursky's work --if only the image could be printed about 5 feet wide. See lots of haze and smoke in the last series. Low oblique may be a good idea. Yep, half of Colorado is nothing but flat. Were you in a commercial airliner or private aircraft? ctb Posted August 5, 2007 Share #8 Posted August 5, 2007 I think the 1st shot of the second series, the one with the green circles, created by huge irrigation systems is the best, although they are all fantastic, and as you say would look great on a huge canvas.
