Upgrade from Fw 1.2 to Fw 3.6 - how to?

Hi,

I might have a chance to get at good deal on a SL in a very good condition, very lightly used.
It is actually still running in Fw 1.2  and I wanted to upgrade it to latest Fw 3.6 before testing it.

But as I can see all the firmware versions from 2.2 to 3.6 requires  min. Fw 2.0 to run it

So, what/how to do it?

I do not think that you need to update each firmware individually. I just did an update from 3.2 to 3.6 by running the 3.6 firmware update only.

Well, upgrading from 3.2 to 3.6 is not a problem. You can do that. But see what Leica writes in pdf. installation document for 3.6:

"Please follow these steps to install the new firmware for your Leica SL camera and lenses:
This instruction describes the update process if you have running SL firmware 2.0 or later"

The camera is in FW 1.2

Or anyone who still might have old 601__20_.lfu file to share?
