pilu Posted October 15, 2019 Share #1  Posted October 15, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello to all. Days ago shooting with CL in DNG format I noticed this unpleasant effect in the sky and in the upper right corner of the image. I was very worried, but opening the photo with Photoshop's Camera Raw didn't show anything. Everything was back to normal. This happens only with the DNG file and that "effect" is visible only on the camera display and on the PC. Then everything is in place when I open the file to process it. It's normal? Is it just a DNG preview problem? Has it ever happened to anyone? Thank you for the answers, Roberto Welcome, dear visitor! wda Posted October 15, 2019 Share #2 Â Posted October 15, 2019 Roberto, what I see is flare, not unexpected with such a scene and lighting. The image on the LCD is from a jpeg derived from the DNG. Welcome to the forum.
pilu Posted October 15, 2019 Author Share #3 Â Posted October 15, 2019 I thank you for the answer that reassures me, but that glow, if looked at closely, looks like a mosaic!
lct Posted October 15, 2019 Share #4  Posted October 15, 2019 Comes from reflections on the sensor i suspect as changing lenses does not fix the issue. Better refrain from shooting the sun or other bright light sources at f/16. Less visible at f/11 and no problem at f/8. Here at f/16. Welcome, dear visitor! pilu Posted October 15, 2019 Author Share #6  Posted October 15, 2019 I hope this is only visualization (jpeg preview on LCD) and it is not a problem of faulty sensor electronics ..!.😔

Other cameras can do the same more or less.
