M8.2 - Chrome finish

Hello Leica lovers,

I'm wondering how many Chrome finished M8.2 were produced and if they are looked after. 

I searched on the web and I could not find any of this model for sale, so it seems quite rare.

Any thoughts ?

Fewer than black, but not so rare.  Several on eBay, and they pop up at dealers now and then.  I picked up a used mint chrome model without much problem after buying a new black one, but that was in 2010 or so.  Keep looking.

Acquired a mint example over a year ago. Only 4K clicks. It is treasured.

Of course I had one earlier, but missed it so much I bided my time until the right one hit the market. These things run in spurts - hardly any available for a certain period and then whammo! several come on the market at the same time.

I still use my black M8.2 that I really appreciate.

I use it a lot with the Super Angulon 21 f3.4, Elmarit 28 V1 and V3, Elmar 50 2.8 and Summicron 35 f2 Asph.

I Bought a Silver/Chrome M 8.2 with 1200 clicks on it in December, 2018....What a deal...even had the open box pages from Adorama and the outer box. Perfect in every sense. In fact, at the time I thought I overpaid for it ( approximately $1800), but after taking photos with my summicron 50 and 35mm, I realized how much I enjoyed the APS-h (1.33x) format.

I.m glad that a decade later, the M8.2 is still considered relevant to users as I just love the CCD renderings. Anyway, just my 2 cents
