Hi there,

I am considering buying a M-A. It´s just such a sexy camera. Only thing I wonder is, if there still are problems with the film advance? Was reading into it and I only found rather old stories (2015) about that topic.

Any other problems I have to be aware of?

Thanks for your time and help.

A friend at my local Leica store told me that he thinks that Leica addressed that problem but wasńt really sure...

Why worry, if you buy M-A new, you have two years warranty to enjoy the camera.

If the M-A is not as expected, any "flaws" can occur, but Leica Camera will take it for repair or replace it with another one.

If you buy second hand, the "flaws" can be taken care of already.

Or if you are not lucky second hand buyer, just return the M-A, as imple as that.

My two M-A never had any trouble since 2014.

I think that happy M-A users are plenty out there ( not quite high number I admit ), they just use their nice optical/mechanical marvels for what they are made for.

In the Net, we read only complaints, but in each case, Leica took care of the "flaws" quickly.
