FMB Posted September 28, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 28, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm interested in taking pictures from low level position. As I'm rather old need extraordinary help to do that in vertical standing, whether above the floor or a one table. Francisco.
Advertisement Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 Hi FMB, Take a look here Do you have any experience about SL camera + a monitor?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
graeme_clarke Posted September 28, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 28, 2019 Having got the camera as low as I can, eg on a beanbag (lower than I can get with a tripod, I use a connected iPhone to set aperture, exposure, point of focus and take the picture. Saves my creaky back!!!! Works with a CL too. Graeme
verwackelt Posted September 28, 2019 Share #3 Posted September 28, 2019 Other manufacturer give their cameras a tilt display. I love them on my GH5. I do not know why Leica is so stubborn and mounts only fixed screens on their cameras. It is silly to carry a second device only to achieve the functionality that other cameras has already build in. Thats the only reason i will not buy the new SL2 although i waited so long for it…
caissa Posted September 29, 2019 Share #4 Posted September 29, 2019 If you are not so agile anymore, then using a phone or pad is much more comfortable than having a tilted screen. So even if it is an additional device (that you probably have on you anyway), I find it better than a screen that is also close to the ground (bean bag) and difficult to see. jankap Posted September 29, 2019 Share #5 Posted September 29, 2019 (edited) iPhone with a tilt screen?? I have a camera with a tilt screen. Used often would be too much, but sometimes it is very useful. With a tripod and a long lens it is a nice feature also. FMB Posted September 29, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted September 29, 2019 Thank you, you four. With Leica Photo App I've used my Android Galaxy 5 and, because I not know iPhone mobiles, I'm looking for a system able to transfer the all MENU to the screen so that I was capable to put my settings handling the camera but watching the screen at the same time. I've seen some similar in profesional studios. Francisco
