Glasto Posted September 27, 2019 Share #1 Β Posted September 27, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am currently acquiring the 28mm PC R Super Angulon, obstensibly for film use with an R3. However, reading forums and looking at Leica's website, there seems to be a conflict on which digital cameras this lens can be used on. I am only interested in manual focus (and would would only use manual aperture setting but I believe this is not possible). Some forums say the lens can be used on an SL with an adapter yet Leica says no. Similarly, can it be used on a CL with an adapter? I look forward to members' views.Β

a.noctilux Posted September 27, 2019 Share #2 Β Posted September 27, 2019 (edited) Hello Glasto, I use one PC-Super-Angulon-R 2.8/28mm (this one in Wiki link) I use it on Leica R, Leica M with adapter without any flaw for decades. The aperture is manual only which closes down with a separate lever. Manual focus only of course. Β The only "flaw" in PC-S-A 28mm is the filter holding system by the hood needing a special EW67 very scarse or not available. So when I want to use PC with common filter size "E52" or "E72", I use PC-Nikkor (shift 35mm or 28mm ) mainly for Monochrom + colored filters π. this link to thread discussion on "EW67" filter Edited September 27, 2019 by a.noctilux
