bourne Posted September 17, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 17, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just wondering how many Leica Q2 owners are using the Ettas Pouch from Leica? Looks like a useful pouch if placing your Leica in to another carryall. Interested to learn how owners are using it and whether you have found better substitutes. Thanks........ pico Posted September 17, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2019 When packing any Leica inside another container I find wrapping it in lint-free cloth is most effective.
fredus Posted September 17, 2019 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2019 I use a Domke F-34M 15-Inch Protective Wrap when I throw my leica in another container
Trankster Posted September 18, 2019 Share #4 Posted September 18, 2019 I keep mine in a small shoulder bag ONA Bond Steet. I have not used a case like that since the 70s for my film SLR. The price also seems really steep for what it is.
LocalHero1953 Posted September 18, 2019 Share #5 Posted September 18, 2019 I use a Crumpler Haven for this purpose, but I'm not sure if they are still available anywhere
brunner Posted September 18, 2019 Share #6 Posted September 18, 2019 I use the Ettas pouch when I put my Q-P in my bag, or sometimes when I carry it on a shoulderstrap. Works fine...
rfunnell Posted September 19, 2019 Share #7 Posted September 19, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's a great case to use when carrying on my shoulder easy to remove when in use. It's nicely made in my opinion.
bullmoon Posted October 7, 2019 Share #8 Posted October 7, 2019 +1 on the Ettas. I like it when I'm using a backpack or messenger bag and I also use it for a compact cover when traveling light.
bourne Posted October 8, 2019 Author Share #9 Posted October 8, 2019 I use the LIM half case with my Q2. Will my camera with the case attached fit in the Ettas case? Thank you.

bourne Posted October 8, 2019 Author Share #12 Posted October 8, 2019 Has anyone used the Leica neoprene case? Much cheaper than the Ettas pouch. I just ordered one.

bourne Posted October 12, 2019 Author Share #15 Posted October 12, 2019 Just FYI.... received the Leica Neoprene case for my Q2 with Lim half case and it works well. Seems like a good alternative to the Ettas Case.
dusuacangmong Posted October 13, 2019 Share #16 Posted October 13, 2019 My Q use Peak Design 5L and it fit very well.

Update: with a Thumbs Up attached, the Leica Neoprene Case M Black with Small Front is tight over the top and rear of the body. It takes a bit of work to fit it over the grip; not a deal breaker. The front area, covering the lens with cap, is perfect. Edited November 3, 2019 by Pixeleater

Must be a different model of ETTAS pouch. All the leica dealers in the U.K. offer it at £95. still expensive for a cover to put around a camera that probably already has an expensive leather half-case with strap and is then inside another decent camera shoulder bag. i find these covers just add to the complication of getting the camera ready to shoot. You have to remove it and put it somewhere before you start. Possibly lose it at some stage. I have a cupboard full of pouches, and camera bags. It’s natural to want to protect your baby but every new camera seems to demand a different shape of bag. save your money! The ettas is fantastic when I want to carry my q2 in any brief case or backpack without needing a ‘camera bag’. I travel for work and this allows me to carry it easily without extra padding. If I want to shoot I I can pull it out and leave the work bag behind or just keep the camera around my neck. It allows me to always have a camera without the camera bag.
