Advertisement Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Hi frame-it, Take a look here Aero Ektar LTM ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
romanus53 Posted September 4, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2019 Aero Ektars came as surplus off some aerial cameras and are afaik adapted. So if you find one adapted to LTM or make your own Adapter you are set.

romanus53 Posted September 4, 2019 Share #5 Posted September 4, 2019 that's why they use this lens still today. But 178 mm on Leica (or full-frame nowadays) is a Little bit too long for such works. If you are shooting 4x5'' it's fine and if you mind the radioacitve glass the Dallmeyer Pentac 1:2.9/8.5 '' is Pretty good, too.
Guest JMF Posted September 4, 2019 Share #6 Posted September 4, 2019 Bear in mind these lenses are quite heavy , over 1 kg , closer to 1,5kg. Welcome, dear visitor! Hello Posted September 5, 2019 Share #7 Posted September 5, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm currently trying to adapt one to a GFX. Can't dial in the length of the tubes I need, lol

Can't dial in the length of the tubes I need, lol It is a losing effort. Aerial lenses are just horrible for land-based, small format use.

pico Posted September 6, 2019 Share #11 Posted September 6, 2019 Oi, if there are still sadly misinformed dreamers of using a Kodak Aero Ektar 178mm, why for just shipping $ I will send one wreck of the lens which will still give an idea of just how useless it is.
