scho Posted August 4, 2007 Share #102 Posted August 4, 2007 Carl, That is a fabulous image. The tones are just simply attractive. Thank you Arthur. I used a custom icc profile for toning that simulates the hue of piezo carbon sepia inks on rag paper.

Funnily enough I seem to have taken a photo from nearly the same viewpoint as Gian Mario on holiday in Tuscany in June. It was with the M8 and 135 mm Elmarit. And this is the full width of the image. dspeltz Posted August 5, 2007 Share #112 Posted August 5, 2007 hi friends,i was curious how the m8 would perform for landscape photography, so i took it as my only camera on a scotland trip a couple of weeks ago. in fact, i am very happy with the results, in particular with the 21mm leica lens. you can find samples in: scotland_2007 Photo Gallery by markowich at pbase.com all the best, peter Orkney is super special. The light, the land, but especially the fresh salmon each night. Here is one from Jackson Hole. Welcome, dear visitor! asfeir Posted August 5, 2007 Share #114 Posted August 5, 2007 A great camera and great glass. Picts at low quality jpegs here do not nearly reflect the quality I am now getting with HP9180 printer in A3 size. In my experience, I am getting certainly better results than color film Hasseblad prints. Welcome, dear visitor! kidigital Posted August 5, 2007 Share #115 Posted August 5, 2007 I've been away in Norway the past several weeks ... and enjoying using my M8 even more than ever. It's been pure joy to use it for landscapes ... especially on long hikes in the mountains. Here's one with the 50lux. Welcome, dear visitor! Guest guy_mancuso Posted August 5, 2007 Share #116 Posted August 5, 2007 By the looks of it, the M8 is an excellent choice for Landscape Photography! Cheers, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography Really it is good for many things, i have yet to yearn for a DSLR in a long time with many different types of shooting. It is underrated by many on what it can do.
