Advertisement Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Hi AnikiMu, Take a look here Q2 battery charging advice. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ralphh Posted August 27, 2019 Share #2 Posted August 27, 2019 I tend to pull it out at 80% if I notice it's got there. An 80% (vs 100%) charge increases battery life quite significantly, according to samsung who's laptops & tablets stop charging at 80% with battery saver turned on. That said, I don't sit and watch it charge. If it gets to 100% then that's what it gets to, and if I know I've got a full day of shooting coming up I'll full-charge it. If you're worry about it, you're probably over thinking it.
sturkel Posted August 27, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 27, 2019 Just as an FYI most modern chargers have dual current sensing on charge rates, meaning rapid charge till about 70% and slow charge thereafter. The whole issue used to be with heating during a rapid charge. For the most part this is not an isssue with smart charging techonology. I do not see any risk in charging to 100% with today's smart chargers.
