The Bridge of Tasdon crosses the railway tracks as they leave westwards from La Rochelle Station. Built in 1912 it was 'permanently' closed to traffic on the 10th November 2023 when it was discovered to be in too dangerous a state to allow passage of traffic to continue.

It will be interesting to see what the fate of this bridge will be. Just in case things go badly, a few weeks ago, I took advantage of the absolute emptiness of the normally very busy roadway and grabbed quite a few snaps of - and from - the structure for the sake of posterity...
