Hi there!

There's a similar old topic in this forum, where everyone seem to agree that kamera-service would be the best option. However, their web-site is not working now, so I am not sure if they're still operating.

Are there any trusted alternatives beside official? I need to CLA my M6.

Thanks!

I can throw my recommendation hat into the ring for Camera Obscura Repairs, who are located in the UK.

https://www.cameraobscurarepairs.co.uk

I sent my M6 and Summicron 50mm V3 into them for a CLA on each. Amazingly fast turnaround time (14 working days) relative to others with an economical cost (just over 200 quid for the M6 CLA and just over 100 quid for the lens CLA). Highly communicative. Excellent job on both.

Many thanks for relaying your positive experience with Camera Obscura Repairs.  I had looked with interest at the web site but wondered why it does not show the firm's address  -- I guess Alexander Spencer notifies one of the address once he receives a repair request.

@johnkunstadter I contacted Camera Obscura Repairs direct through the 'Book a Repair' form, to which Alex replied directly and provided me with a booking form complete with instructions and an address. I had to include the form with my camera - probably helps to keep track of things. I forgot to mention that I was provided with an Inspection Report after Alex assessed my equipment prior to agreeing the go-ahead for service, which made the process transparent and understandable.

Cheers
