For those who typically develop their image from the raw file, you might want to experiment with this preparation: run the .DNG file through Adobe DNG Converter to get a new DNG. You can have the program append _1 to the filename. The difference is that most raw converters assume a certain matrix in the raw file is based on D65, and most cameras comply. However, Leica chose D50.

That's not a complete explanation, but all I can say is that it gives me a much better starting point in Raw Therapee. It might work for you, too.
