Miltz Posted August 3, 2019 Share #2 Posted August 3, 2019 Looks like a failing sensor 🤷🏻♂️
kelseyh Posted August 3, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 3, 2019 SD card maybe?
sturkel Posted August 3, 2019 Share #4 Posted August 3, 2019 That is so strange, were these random images or was there a sequence of them in a row that had this. My guess it is a write error, not a sensor fault.
Leica Guy Posted August 3, 2019 Share #5 Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) Yikes. I’m very sorry to see this. It’s time for some experiments. Different speed SD cards? JPG and DNG? Super good luck figuring it out quickly. Wonder if this is related to the fast continuous read errors the latest rev. fixed. Have you installed the latest rev yet. If not, perhaps you should. Dang. Bummer. Edited August 3, 2019 by iQ2
dancook Posted August 3, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted August 3, 2019 It was a hdr series of three shots, a write issue sounds about right haven’t put on new firmware.
farnz Posted August 3, 2019 Share #7 Posted August 3, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) That's the Q2's Northern Lights Mode. (I'd suspect the SD card first - looks like a read error of some sort.) Pete.

Masklin Posted August 3, 2019 Share #10 Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) I had similar on some images last year with the Q, fortunately it was the SD card and not the camera. Edited August 3, 2019 by Masklin
Richardgb Posted August 4, 2019 Share #11 Posted August 4, 2019 The banding reminds me of the problem I (and Leica) had with the M9 and its battery management, c. spring 2012 (yes, 7 years ago), although in this case the coloured banding was across the short side of the image. The problem was fixed - after quite a long wait (presumably after a lot of collective head-scratching in Leica) - by a firmware update. Definitely not the card in this case. A couple points to consider (I do not have the answers): Was the battery on your Q2 fully charged? Were images taken in quick succession?
