ron777 Posted August 18, 2019 Share #22 Posted August 18, 2019 Did you install two batteries at same time or one at a time?

Donzo98 Posted August 18, 2019 Author Share #24 Posted August 18, 2019 Did you install two batteries at same time or one at a time? Good point... maybe they are sequential. First left, then right...
ron777 Posted August 18, 2019 Share #25 Posted August 18, 2019 (edited) They are sequential but there still could be a defect. I’ll try mine later this evening. Edited August 18, 2019 by ron777

ron777 Posted August 19, 2019 Share #27 Posted August 19, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have several dual chargers for different cameras and they are sequential. However, I just inserted two almost fully charged S1R batteries into the new dual and both sides read the existing charge and are flashing as if charging. Perhaps this model is not a sequential charger, but I’ll check the charge levels after one hour. Both we’re at 90% to begin with.
ron777 Posted August 19, 2019 Share #28 Posted August 19, 2019 Just checked, and I can’t be certain but it looks like the right side reached full charge first. But since both were at 90% to begin with I’m not certain. However, I can say that the charger works, sequential or not.
Timkr Posted August 19, 2019 Share #29 Posted August 19, 2019 I get nothing on the right display while left is charging, normal?
ron777 Posted August 19, 2019 Share #30 Posted August 19, 2019 (edited) Not normal. Both displays should light when the unit is powered up. With two batteries installed the charge level meters should flash, but not certain what happens when only one battery is installed. But since it appeared that the right side charged first on mine, try moving the battery to the right compartment. Donzo98 Posted August 19, 2019 Author Share #32 Posted August 19, 2019 (edited) Just to close this thread... Just plugged a battery into the right side with no battery on the left... charging fine. I had already charged left side only. So now we know... either side should be fine for charging. Good luck Tim... sucks that yours was broken. Genius.... I think it is a great concept. using an USB powerbank with PD output of 27W I can charge the camera or the battery on the go in my bag in very short time. Also supplying the camera with power while shooting is possible independently from a wall socket.

I could never do that with the SL. I now carry a cable with me in my bag at all times. This is one of many things I like best about the S1-R. There is a USB charger by Nitecore for the SL (also available for M batteries)
