Camera resets when I change my battery

Hi. My Leica Q2 resets completely every time I change the battery. Has anybody else experienced this problem? If so have you been able to resolve it?

So there is an internal  capacitor that holds the memory while changing  batteries.  The main battery needs to be installed for a day or so for this to charge so be sure you keep a battery in place for a day or so for this to happen.

Thank you.  I have owned the camera for a couple of months and keep the battery in the camera.  Still, the camera resets each time I change batteries. Perhaps the capacitor is defective.

Sounds like your capacitor isn’t charging properly.  You’ll need to get it serviced or replaced.  It should definitely not do a factory reset with a new battery.
