Dave in Wales Posted July 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 11, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm seriously considering this lens, could some kind owner do what 'Leica' themselves ought to have done and explain in detail what the user has to do to get this thing to AF and MF. I may be wrong but it would appear that the AF is in two halves, is this done manually or automatically. Does anything have to be set in the menus, etc, etc. Or if there is and instruction somewhere, a link would be nice. Thank you in anticipation. Advertisement Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Hi Dave in Wales, Take a look here Totally confused by TL60mm Macro AF.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gerri_k Posted July 11, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 11, 2019 I'm using the 60macro on my T as well as the TL2. In both cases I didn't noticed a "splitting" from the AF. I switch in camera menu between manual focus and auto-focus - that's all. Q
tom0511 Posted July 11, 2019 Share #3 Posted July 11, 2019 it is not split, but you can limit the focas range of the TL to avoid hunting back and forth when you shoot macro.

After several shots at very close range, I was unable to obtain distance focus - this was remedied by simply turning the manual focus ring and then the lens focused normally. I had NOT touched the focus limit on/off control at all.
