V-Lux Type 114 iZoom question.

Hello all, I am a proud owner of the above camera for almost 5 months and loving it.  Coming from cellphone photography this was a HUGE jump for me and I am still learning. 

So, I have a question - what does everyone think about the iZoom and how many of you use it? 

If you can post some photos taken at max iZoom that would be great.

I rarely use it because it only works with jpegs. However it is occasionally useful for aiding identity of birds in the wild when not carrying binoculars. Why not try it and see how well it meets your needs?

I think that this was taken at maximum iZoom setting, handheld.  Hope it helps.  As David says above, give it a try.

I will certainly give it a try as you and Dave have advised. 

I took this from inside the house at 800 mm and wasn’t quite happy, hence my question.

I use it a great deal with a lot of success.  Don't forget that your shot is through a window which no doubt had a negative effect.

Thanks stuny that gives me hope. Yes the window did have a negative effect. Here is one I took today at 800mm, outside, cloudy day, cropped and then 60% compressed for posting. 

I do see a difference. 😊
