I always use camera-RAW nowadays. But still only Elements for editing. Camera-RAW is somewhat more time-consuming to use, but I have reduced the number of photos to take and to keep more and more. So, the "whole thing" is rather less time-consuming. 
Besides I have reduced my lens-gear to only a Macro-Elmar-M and a Summicron 35. It seems to have lead to "better" photos.
