Indeed the Cobra is a very nice desktop lamp. Soon after the post from @wirthual I started an Internet search and came to the conclusion that the lamp shown on the image is a Kaiser Idell model which is a Bauhaus style desktop lamp. The rights of the brand were sold to a "Fritz Hansen" company in the past and they continued the production. So you can still buy it. Looks gorgeous.
