My biggest gripe with the Q2 is that the shutter speed dial is too easily jostled out of the "A" position.  After a day's worth of shooting in what I thought was aperture priority, upon import to LR I discover that the dial moved to 1/2000...

Did you not notice your exposure meter or chimp any pics? I can understand a couple of shots but an entire day?

Classic Q  owner here.

The only thing that i don't like and wish they fixed is the camera photo apps. besides that is perfect camera at this time of my life. would i buy another Q or Q2?  even tho i mentioned that is the perfect camera,  No i wouldn't, i would wanna try something else since time has changed and so would my life 😁

+1 I love my Q, but now find myself grabbing my newer CL far more often.

i never chimp-- never shoot with the LCD on

and i have taken to using a clean / empty viewfinder   whatever settings i have (i dnr and dn have camera with me at the moment)  overexposed areas are 'lit up' and i will use the exposure comp dial to bring them down.

This approximates shooting analog and increases my enjoyment ymmv

I think long before my day of shooting was complete, I would have made periodic checks on the results I was getting and discovered that or other errors long before the day ended. Your gripe would then cease to be a big one.

Fortunately it wasn't an entire day, as the dial shifted sometime unnoticed while the camera was hanging loosely cross body when I was doing other things.  But yes, I should have been paying better attention.  I rarely chimp (old school), and when I do it's only through the EVF without any of the metadata.  I keep the LCD off except for the menu, play, and function buttons.

Thank you for the nudge to be more mindful!
