pumrel Posted May 31, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys, so I had what I came to know a pretty common problem with my M6. The rewind lever would get stuck mid-film rending it impossible to advance the film. The problem was that one of the screw-in plate under the rewind lever was loose. So I tightened it but the problem is that if it's tightened rotation of the lever is not smooth. I feel resistance like every 180° - see video. Have you ever experienced a similar problem? 250swb Posted June 1, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 1, 2019 So it gets stuck if the screw is lose and it gets sticky if you tighten the screw. It sounds to me more like the shaft is bent and nothing to do with the screws holding the inner plate. Look for the rewind knob or the shaft wobbling as you turn it. If it has been dropped in the past both the lever part and the shaft could have been bent, the thing is the lever part is very easy to replace but shaft takes more skill and parts so it may have been left bent. If it has been dropped in the past both the lever part and the shaft could have been bent I don't really see it wobbling in any position even if I take the lever off and observe the part of the shaft that is sticking out. It sounds though as a reasonable explanation. Maybe the bent is somewhere deeper inside. I don't have the equipment really to take the whole plate off. Can a shaft be replaced? Are the parts for M6 readily available?
