fernando_b Posted July 27, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Why I find so difficult to resolve it from the background? What's wrong?
Advertisement Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Hi fernando_b, Take a look here Food for Popeye . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted July 27, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2007 Fernando - Very nice color, light and details, but we don't know enough to help you diagnose the "problem." What camera and lens?
fernando_b Posted July 27, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted July 27, 2007 Stuart, R4 with 50 summicron (the actual version: 6 glass elements). Film K25 scanned with Braun 4000 slidescan. I could guess that to have all the leaves into the DOF closed the iris so that the background is not enough out of focus. The similar color of the bckgnd and leaves get it even worse. Fernando. Artichoke Posted July 27, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 27, 2007 I think it is chard rather than Popeye's favorite, spinich the problem of keeping the background distinct from the subject might have been addressed by getting at a lower angle so the lovely leaves were presented against the sky so much of this kind of photography's success depends on how the image is set up frequently I have post capture regret, wishing I had taken the image at a slightly different angle or placed a petal from one flower behind a stamen from another that said your colors & details are lovely to see
fernando_b Posted July 30, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted July 30, 2007 Right! Only the leaves remembers, but it is not a spinach. Your diagnose is better, thanks for commenting. Fernando.
