Summaron M 28mm 5.6 with M adapter L

Hi, I’ve just purchased a Cl and wonder if I can use the new Summaron on the M mount adapter for the CL. It doesn’t appear on the official list on the Leica website?

There's no reason why you can't. I think one or two members of the forum have used that combination.

The 28/5.6 is listed among the CL's lens profiles but i have no experience with it so i don't know if it is recognized in auto mode by the camera. Probably yes but the lens can be used as an unknown lens anyway.

I’m going to be trying some of my M lenses over the next week, should be fun!

Hi Rosie,

i have used the  Summaron with Cl and it works fine. I use other M-Lenses as well, so the Elmarit 21 pre, the Elmarit 28 asph (new) and last not least my Summicrons 50 (rigid) and 90 pre. 

Alle lenses work with stunning performance with the CL.

Thanks for your reply. I have used my Elmarit 28 asph and Summilux 35 asp today. So far I think its a great little camera and a good replacement for the Leica XVario.
