Having had a Leica for years, I sold my M240 last year but kept the lenses...28 & 50 summilux and 70 cron.

Missed it...Just bought a secondhand M10 in virtually new look (even had a second battery in the box).

It works fine with my 28 and 70 but the 50 at f1.4 and f2 is slightly out - back focus)

whats' the best solution? Just how expensive is it sending it to Leica to fix (do they need lens and camera?)

Leica can tell you the price - it depends on the problem they find, but my guess is that the cost might be bearable. Yes - they need both camera and lenses, in order to determine which is out of tolerance (or the whole system). If I were a betting man I would blame the 50  though. It is notorious for such problems.

You better hand the M10 and 50 summilux yourself to the Leica dealer nearest to you in the UK. Checking and adjusting the M10 can be done onsite and at a small fee usually.

In the meantime, taking three or four pictures consecutively whilst leaning back slightly also works to correct back focus. One of them will turn out okie

`It would not work for me....but everybody has a right to handel their lenses according to his own thoughts.
