kinross Posted April 13, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I would like to try Dxo photo lab editing software, but I see that it does not list S 006 as supported. Does this really matter? I am using LR 6 which I also see 006 is not supported. Thanks for any help. Mike.
Advertisement Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Hi kinross, Take a look here Do photo lab. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Bart D Posted April 14, 2019 Share #2 Posted April 14, 2019 If your camera is not in this list https://www.dxo.com/dxo-photolab/supported-cameras/ DxO PhotoLab won't process your images, Mike. If you want to check anyway, you can download a free fully functional trial version. Which is always a good idea anyway.
kinross Posted April 14, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted April 14, 2019 Thank you for your reply Bart. I was beginning to think it was such a dumb question that no one could think how to answer me. I will try trial version and see how it is with my M9. Can then see what result if any I get with 006. Thanks again. Mike.
jaapv Posted April 14, 2019 Share #4 Posted April 14, 2019 You can run your 006 files through Adobe's DNG converter. Most likely they can be opened then.
kinross Posted April 14, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted April 14, 2019 At the moment I am using LR 6. Is Adobe DNG a software programme that I download? Please excuse my ignorance. Thanks for help. Mike.
Jeff S Posted April 15, 2019 Share #6 Posted April 15, 2019 I had no issues with S006 files and LR6 when I tested the camera a couple of years ago. Jeff

kinross Posted April 15, 2019 Author Share #9 Posted April 15, 2019 Thanks for link. Seems straightforward. Will give trial version a go with converter and see how I get on. Jeff, I am using LR 6 OK with 006 although it does not seem to appear in any support list For LR I can find. I have tried ON 1. Found it good but unable to process TIFF files exported from it in Image Print Black. Would not load on to working page. Flageed it up with ON support but they are unable to come up with a work around. Mike.
marchyman Posted May 8, 2019 Share #10 Posted May 8, 2019 In my limited experience using a DNG converter WILL NOT HELP. The file is already a valid DNG. DxO apparently has specific processing modules for specific cameras, lenses, and some camera/lens combos. If DxO hasn't created a module for your camera it will not process the image. My M 262, for example, is not supported.
kinross Posted May 8, 2019 Author Share #11 Posted May 8, 2019 Thanks for your comments re DNG. That is the conclusion I have come to. Shame as DxO is a nice editing program. Handles M9 files well. I have decided to stick with LR 6 until it is no longer workable. It is a great editor and management program, but I will not go on subscription or use cloud etc. cheers. Mike.
