Herman Melville said there's a seafarer in all of us, so pictures like this NEVER disappoint--at least for me. Multiple potential stories here--thanks so much!

Several British companies, with the last 7 years on the north European fleet of Chevron tankers. Came ashore in '91 as jobs for R/Os were fast disappearing. All good times meandering around the world Had an interest in radio from a young age. Got the ham license while taking the marine radio course. 28 years on from that last (drydock) voyage am still trying to see all parts of the country here! Great story Graham--thanks so much for sharing! You don't look nearly old enough in your picture to reflect the mileage in your story--congratulations on staying youthful! For me, coming up on 16 years in the navy as a doc. Don't get to sea much these days, but I still love taking care of our brave sailors and marines. Last major deployment was on one of our hospital ships in 2015 for a 6-month humanitarian mission to the Caribbean and Central / South America--not too shabby. Got my ham ticket about 15 years ago and mostly just dabble on the local repeaters. I would, however, like to do more DX if I could find the time. Too many other hobbies... 🤔 I look forward to seeing the posts from your travels!
