FYI, Match Technical now has a new Thumbs Up for the Q2, model EP-LQ2. Doesn’t cover the back button. Popflash says end of April for shipping. I imagine others (B&H, etc.) will have same shipping window. Standard Thumbs Up price, $130.88.

Nicely designed...it looks like Leica design covers up the diopter and crop buttons.

The Thumbs Up looks much better.

The Leica grip adds a button in it to push the frame lines button, but ignores the diopter adjustment. I guess they figure you don’t change the diopter adjustment enough to worry about it. I do like the Thumbs Up one better, though.

Did you get a Q2??

FYI... just pre-ordered the Thumbs Up :)

Hey Guys...

I just ordered this... I don't see a reason to wait for the Thumbs Up. For 45.00 (I offered 40... countered at 45), I'll take a shot.

I received mine today from this supplier and can just access  all of both buttons on my Q2

FYI, the FOTOMIX model (on eBay) is made from aluminum and not brass like the Leica/Thumbs Up models. While aluminum will have an advantage of being lighter (and cheaper), it may bend or break more easily under stress than the brass models. And, of course, it won't be subject to brassing, if you like that kind of thing. 🙂

Hopefully it’ll have the advantage of being softer metal and it won’t marr the hot shoe, I also ordered the fotomix thumbs up.

Has anyone seen a thumbs up with a cold shoe built onto it? I want to mount the CV 28mm finder (and use the Q2 on afc center point).

Has anyone heard of artisanworkstation.com ? I just ordered a $150 half case to be delivered in like 1 week lead time.

Funny... when I told you it was blocked earlier in the thread... I hadn't checked it thoroughly.

Did you decide to keep the Q2??

The Match Technical Picture from Leica rumors looks like exactly the same as my new arrived Fotomix for much less money :)

It's cheaper because it's aluminum and not brass. If that doesn't matter, then yes, you can save money with the Fotomix.
