Imagine that Q2 EVF is similar to a Leica MP 0.58x viewfinder. 50mm lines are small. Somewhat still usable for emergencies. But 75mm is gimmicky and almost useless. Actually 35mm covers 64% ; 50mm only covers 31% and 75mm covers a miserable 14% of the display area of EVF or rear screen. Good luck for good framing, composition and focusing with only 14% left. Picking my crop in post doesn't add but a few seconds and lets me get exactly the crop I'm looking for. Even if I do crop to a 35mm or 50mm equivalent rarely do I want the exact middle of the shot to fill my crop. If I were shooting jpegs to instant upload to social media I'd probably feel different. Great distinction--thank you! I guess this explains why Fuji disables the cropping function on its X100F when shooting RAW.
