When putting the photographic archives of my former collection in order, I re-discovered quite neglected accessories like these diaphragm- setting rings : the  first and best known is the VOOLA, the diaphragm setting ring for the Elmar 5 cm when equipped with A36 filter (two first photos). But there are also the VALAU and subsequent (1950) more elegant VALOO (at left on the third photo) for easily actuating the 5 cm Elmar's diaphragm when the lens was used on an enlarger. In fact, the VALOO was more utilized as a hood for general use. And finally, the VTROO - illustrated on second row and with two different engravings on the last image - served as aperture setting ring for the Summicron 50 when mounted on Focoslide.

The diaphragm- setting ringare quite interesting. This is first time I’ve heard about them.

Pierre, thanks for sharing material again from your former collection. Last year I found the VALOO and bought it, which was then new to me. I didn't know about the other items you now show us!
