vanhulsenbeek Posted February 20, 2019 Share #1  Posted February 20, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) The Update 3.4 hangs at Camera Information. Also at cards without the update the fw seems to hang there. Nothing helps, no joystick movements, no button push. Battery out: everything OK, except Camera Information: same story. What do I do wrong? Best regards Sander Edited February 20, 2019 by vanhulsenbeek
Advertisement Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Hi vanhulsenbeek, Take a look here Update 3.4 hangs at Camera Information. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
CharlesL Posted February 21, 2019 Share #2 Â Posted February 21, 2019 The problem is not obvious. Perhaps a sectiont of the internal memory of the camera is corrupted. You might do things that access internal memory, for example, switch among your user profiles, write a new user profile, etc. The purpose is to see whether other parts of internal memory are corrupted. vanhulsenbeek Posted February 21, 2019 Author Share #4  Posted February 21, 2019 At first instance: when I want to start the update. Everything hangs, even when I switch off. Battery out: all fine! But also hangs at present fw check (3.3)
scott kirkpatrick Posted February 21, 2019 Share #5  Posted February 21, 2019 That certainly doesn't sound right. Why not try reinstalling fw 3.3 (there should be a copy still on the download site). And if you can't even do that, as it requires going to the "camera information" menu page, then you need to call customer service for further instructions. Or at least a dealer visit. vanhulsenbeek Posted March 26, 2019 Author Share #6  Posted March 26, 2019 Camera back from Wetzlar. Apparently an "impact" (either 3 years back or one month ago in Norway :) did no good. The sensor was out of wack (far out of tolerance) and some boards had shifted. Beats me what that had to do with the described software problem and the pictures were fine to my somewhat aging eyes, but all is well now and fw 3.4. installed. Sensor cleaned, new covering etc. All in: EUR 480,--. Looks as new, me happy :) Sander!
