They'll have to show me.  As far as I'm concerned they've dug themselves into a very deep hole and it will take a hell of a lot of improvement to make their "service" the equal of the sh!ttiest of their competitors.

Not my experience, despite obvious efforts from Germany to help. Others, however, have had great experiences; consistency of service and treatment is not a hallmark.  But there seems to be other roadblocks to efficient US service even when NJ sends work to Germany.  Some of the S system stories here detailing delays (and even lost gear) have been disheartening.  Fortunately recent S reports do seem better.  

The SL system seems more reliable, with much less service complaint here, than with S or M gear.  That’s my impression anyway. So unlike the S, I wouldn’t let reliability and service be a deterrent to consider future SL system purchase. With M gear, DAG fills the gap.
