silverchrome Posted February 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) My M8.2 seems to be having trouble cocking the shutter once the shutter has been activated. It seems to take several seconds (you can hear the motor whirring away as it tries to do its job) before it actually cocks the shutter, and sometimes doesn't succeed at cocking the shutter at all., at which point, I have to pull the battery. I've tried several genuine batteries and the result is the same. The shutter itself seems to be fine and not once have I seen any shutter related error message. Ideas? jaapv Posted February 3, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2019 That means a (relatively simple) service. The "fingers" -little Teflon levers- that control the shutter cocking are getting sticky. Consult Leica whether they can do it for a reasonable price.
