Yes, they gave me that info also, have you tried them? They are awful, 11606 even gives a yellow cast to the whole image!images and colour fidelity.

Yes, the 28/2 11604 has been my default setting for it for ages with a base M10. I've noticed no issues.

Zeiss literature describes the 35mm ZM Distagon lens as a retro focus design.

I believe the 35mm Leica lenses are not, but the 28mm Leica f2 & f2.8 lenses recommended by Zeiss as 6-bit analogues are retro focus designs.

Therefore their recommendation might be due to the difference in lens design.

On the M10, I never needed a lens profile, as I only corrected vignetting which however depends on the aperture. Can‘t remember any color cast issues.

M10-P should not make a difference in said respect.

Granted it's very slight, but my OCD kicks in!

I will post some examples...

People are really unanimous about this lens.

I was attracted to this thread when one very prominent member from LUF said it was the closest M equivalent to the Sl35APO.

I do regret that there isn’t more photos posted on this thread. I would love to see more from those using the lens.

cheers

Nothing artistic, just a few casual snapshots with ZM 35 F1.4 below and few more at https://eerajqaisar.smugmug.com/ZM35-Samples/

Another thing about the ZM 35 is it balances very well on larger bodies like SL2, neither too small, nor too big. Performance on Nikon Z6 is also great. I consider it a "universal lens", capable of excellent results on most bodies.

Not the M10, but my M9:

M9 - Relaxing with Cascade by Archiver, on Flickr

M9 - We Welcome The New Year by Archiver, on Flickr

Due to the superb sharpness and overall rendering, I consider this to be a more versatile lens than either the Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f1.4 or v1.2, which are more like 'character' lenses. I never knew how much the wide open glow of the Noktons bugged me until I shot a lot with the Distagon. It's very encouraging when people say the Distagon is also excellent on cameras like the Nikon Z6, as it bodes well for future adapatability.

And here you have the cyan edges! Look at the left and right of this image posted above...

Some of you guys need an eye check 🙂

As far as I understand, said photo was taken with an M240, which is possibly more problematic with respect to color cast in the corners as compared to an M10.

On my M10 and M10R I never felt the need for any correction in said respect so far. Obviously, however, this might also depend on the content of the photos.

Correct. No profile correction applied in the sample.

Superb images, subtle rendering and nicely processed!

Chinese New Year is approaching, and despite the usual restrictions due to you-know-what, there will still be celebrations in Melbourne. And my primary lens will be the Distagon! I have never felt this positively about a lens, with the possible exception of the Summicron 50 v5. The size is fine, focusing is very smooth and well damped, the aperture ring clicks subtly, and the rendering is just gorgeous. Can't wait to take it out again!

I have both those lenses luckily for me and you.
