I use the above tank for developing.  Would it hurt undeveloped film on a reel (with center column inserted) to sit inside the tank if I have the funnel lid on tight?  With the funnel lid secure it should be light-tight, and I don't think the film wound unto the reel would hurt the film or images.  I sometime want to queue up the film but don't not have time to complete the developing process.

All comments and advice appreciated.

Hi Ray,

I proceed in this way since many years. No issues so far. However I only store the film in the tank for a couple of hours, sometimes 1 day but not longer. I don’t know how the emulsion reacts with oxygen for extended time. Some films like PanF should be developed as soon as they have been exposed even if stored in the canister.

Best regards

Jakob
