Yeah M10-D looks sweet, I’ve ordered one too and was wondering when it will show up at my door, only to see a French user starting an open letter to Leica demanding printed manuals, having received his already by November 13.  Meanwhile I’ve sent my M10 to Allendale (NJ) for reattaching the decoupled ISO knob, apparently a not infrequent occurrence, and was leisurely scanning eBay for M60 deals until I suddenly found one.  So I’m strangely likely to end up with both an M60 and the upcoming M10-D.   The M-D has never appealed to me being a kind of a commoditized M60 without its unique properties.  So M10-D will completely supersede the M-D, but nothing ever will be the first as the M60 is.

BTW I’m in Oakland, and saying it with the residual Russian accent often leads to keen interest in Auckland among the fellow Americans, that I’m sorry to quickly disappoint.:)

Two things I dislike for camera design.

1:  A screen

2:  WiFi

Well, for me M-D (typ 262) fills the Edition 60 GAS .

Not even wanting (needing ?) M10-D nor M10 Monochrom ...maybe the reason from aging a bit more.

Exactly…📷

Amazingly, there seems to be more M60 cameras than MD 262’s currently available…📷

Looking closely, can it be true how low the asking price is for this M60, and why are two cameras shown…🥸

The M60 is a lovely piece, although the lack of neck strap eyelets would make me a little crazy in use. I had the M-D typ 262 for a couple of years and it was truly "just the essentials" and nothing else.

But I don't really ken your dislike of the wireless connectivity in the later models like the M10-D and M11-D ... The wireless connectivity nets some capabilities for those who might want them but otherwise just leaves you with the M-D 262 if you don't. Having had the M-P typ 240 and now the M10-R and M10 Monochrom, I only rarely use the wireless control or file transfer capabilities, but it has proven very useful now and then. It certainly doesn't get in the way if I don't want to use it, and it honestly would have been convenient to have it with the M-D 262 if only to make transferring image files to my iPhone or iPad when traveling easier, rather than having to carry yet another dongle to read a card with.

Eh. Doesn't really matter. They're all nice cameras and you can pick and choose which pleases you most. :)

I understand your caution, this does look quite inexpensive for such an uncommon camera.

From what I've seen, Peter 'Rambo' is a reputable secondhand Leica dealer in Sydney. He often displays items for sale next to other items in his photos. He is friends with John at Camera Exchange in Melbourne, which is good enough for me. I'd buy from him on that basis alone. Look at his Instagram:

Others vouch for Peter in this thread:
