First a call out to my sweetheart's son, who ran his first marathon and raised over $10,000 for pancreatic cancer research (what killed his dad). The woman holding the "Go Kenny Go" sign is mom, better known as Lizanne, the love of my life (aside from my new granddaughter 🙂 ......

I knew you'd cover it, even if Kenny wasn't in it.  Terrific, and good on Kenny for raising so much money.  My favorite niece does a lot of work with pancreatic cancer patients, and has started 4 clinics (1st one in Seattle, and now three in Denver) to do pre-op testing.  Prior to her coming up with the idea and executing it, just under 60% of patients were NOT ready for surgery.  Her efforts have dropped that number to less than 2%.

That's terrific! There has been some progress but, as you know, by the time it presents itself it is usually too late.
