Juhannike Posted October 25, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello! I like to use the Visoflex now and then on my m10. I have a habit of always switch of the camera before plugging it in and out. Is this necessary? Could I harm any of the electronics by keeping the camera on when I plug and uplug the visoflex? What do you guys do?
Advertisement Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Hi Juhannike, Take a look here Visoflex (020) - Hot plug when camera is on?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
a.noctilux Posted October 25, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 25, 2018 First uses, I try that hot plug Visoflex on M10, but the combo experienced some troubles like the Visoflex couldn't turn on or other flaws. So since then I turn off M10 before plug Visoflex in, like you. Even doing this, from time to time, some false contacts may arrive (maybe I must clean the contacts before plug in or protect those with caps when not in use). I forget often to put the caps protection in place = bad habit.
jeff_m Posted October 28, 2018 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2018 The instructions say to turn camera off when installing or uninstalling Visoflex. I always do.
david strachan Posted October 28, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2018 Thanks for the advice, you guys. I've been fitting my Viso onto camera M-P(240), whilst on. With no problems...but won't push my luck and will turn off first. Always something new to learn on the Forum. 😅
