Roland Zwiers Posted August 17, 2023 Share #41  Posted August 17, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) William, You are right! But in this lay-out it is a bit hidden. Kisselbach (1955) has three similar full-size pages. One for the Leica f series with black dial One for the Leica f series with red dial One for earlier Leicas (<360.000) with black dial (see image) This table also explains why the Leica IIIf settings for electronic flash didn't work on my synchronised Leica IIIa. For the shutter speed of 1/20 second I must use number 4 (instead of 2 for the Leica IIIf black dial). After some failed test exposures I found this out myself as well. But it is good to know that empirical evidence is in agreement with Leica literature! Roland Welcome, dear visitor! The Matheson book is very good and I can recommend it. William
Giuliobigazzi Posted October 12, 2023 Share #43 Â Posted October 12, 2023 Did all conversions happen at the Leitz factory, regardless of where the cameras were? London or New York for example, were any conversions done in-house?
