anyone have a problem with one of the sd card slots not locking a card in on the SL? My upper one won't anymore....and all i get from leica N.J. is leave a voice mail....which hasn't worked in getting a call back.

YES!  It happened to me, Rebecca.  My camera was sent to NJ and 6 weeks later it was sent back to Leica Miami without the repair having been done!  So, Leica Miami expedited the camera to Leica Germany for repair.

 

Leica Germany inspected the card slot and claimed that "I" must have tried to force the card out and in doing so damaged the card holder.  (Not so). The camera came back repaired a few weeks later and I paid the repair bill. 

 

Then, a similar failure happened to another owner who also had come through Leica Miami!  So, there seems to be a defect.

 

Send me a private message and I'll give you more details about the repair process and how everything ultimately resolved.

just a follow up.....since i could still use the one good slot i waited until just before the warranty expired to have leica los angeles  send it in to new jersey....3 weeks later i just got it back fixed under warranty with the card holder fixed, a cla, cleaned sensor and new covering.

My SD card is stuck in my SL 2... I need to get it out now Because someone was using my camera and deleted some photos that I need to recover...

If you can’t get it out in a simple manner don’t force it Consult your dealer. Otherwise you’ll void your guarantee.
