You can use Leica Image Shuttle to transfer the files to your PC. If you use the 'Capture'-folder of C1 as the destination the photos appear after approx. 2 sec in C1.

Personally I have the issue that the SL freezes after a couple of shots but this is not related to C1. I still haven't figured out what the issue is.

At Photokina I spoke with two representatives of PhaseOne, and they stated that the CEO had an issue with supporting Leica in C1. Not a very professional attitude for a company that supports the professional high-end market if you ask me, but hey.... what can we do. Looks like tethering of SL with C1 is still far away.

I have the exact same issue in this situation. Did you figure out what the problem is?

This is the problem I have with the S. I use C1 for Ms and the SL. It sounds like C1 will never provide support for the S.

Well, I guess I'm going back to Lr. C1 is good, but without SL support it just does not make my work easier.

I have the same problem in Lightroom : The SL freezes after a couple of shots.

Yeah, but at least it works for a couple minutes... without using Leica Image Shuttle... which is, you must admit, stunning achievement in 2018!

Off topic (but related): it's known that Leica remote apps never worked well with SL. It disconnects every couple minutes, or when phone goes off, you have to install new profile and start the whole complicated procedure all over again. Leica recently announced a brand new Fotos app, designed to replace all older apps and do the single thing - remote control. But its even worse than previous ones. Except the better UI design, it does not work at all with SL.

All these issues with 3rd party vendors and devices makes me really think if Leica is capable of anything else than making exceptionally great hardware. All this new technology available today is not available to us, SL users. We cannot tether, we cannot use remote apps, HSS in my case, and who knows what else. I'm heartbroken even thinking breaking apart from my Leica, but at the same time, using it exclusively, I feel I'm missing out on other things.

Maybe it's not the best thread for this conversation, but I'd like to hear what others think?

Even Fujis "middleformat" ist supported by C1 now. As i remember was not the M8 delivered with C1 once?
When did the cooperation from PhaseOne with Leica stop? And why?
Still do not like Lightroom and find C1 is better (in matter of my taste) RAW converter.

Have a look at this post in the Phase One forum.

I remember those days and some of the names in the thread are familiar.  The standoff over Capture One support for the SL ended when I loaned them my camera for a month.  Since then, Capture One will read DNGs with a default profile for cameras which they have not yet profiled, like the M10-P and M10-D, but the default DNG profile has only the built-in specifications for the Bayer filter coefficients and the AWB's values for R, G, and B to generate a neutral color.  A full profile is corrected for highlights and shadows as well as Zone 5-ish midtones.  The M10-D and -P differ from the M10 (which COne has supported for a while) by generating a somewhat brighter standard image and perhaps needing some careful treatment of bright reds and yellows.  In COne, you can select the M10 profile and apply it to an M10-D file, but it is not a good idea.  The standard DNG profile is a better starting point in COne for processing M10-D files. There still is no M10-P/D specific profile in the recently released COne v12.  Adobe does appear to have released corrections for the M10-D and -P in ACR.

Thank you Ingo and Scott for the enlightment.
It was a little bit akward the thread in the forum.
i hope the cooperation between Leica and PO will be optimized for hopefully coming SL2 and other cameras.
Enabled tethered shooting and optimised Lens- and cameraprofiles from start  would be great.

Back at Photokina, on the Leica-side, they said that PO was very close to make a profile for the new S, but last minute PO pulled out.
That in combination with the way the PO people responded, makes me more and more believe that the pain is on the PO-side.
I wouldn't hold up hope for S-support, and we probably have to wait long for an SL2 profile (unless Scott will loan them his camera again perhaps...:-)). And tethering for any Leica seems further away than ever.
I love C1 and use it almost exclusively, but PO's attitude towards Leica is simply childish.

I've given up.
Neither Leica Image Shuttle nor Lightroom allows a stable connection to the SL for tethered shooting.

I bought a Hasselblad X1D for tethered shooting. It works fine and also the WiFi connection to Phocus Mobile is extremly realiable.
I tether the 3F RAWs into Phocus with an automatic export as DNG into the 'Capture' Folder of my Capture One session. C1 is 'hacked' with CaptureFix for Hasselblad and now accepts the Hasselblad DNGs.

Last time I got a free upgrade in return for my favor,. It was supposed to be a loan of a week in which I didn't need the camera and I think it took longer...  In the meantime, C1 will accept any DNG and use its defaults.  Back then, they didn't even see a Leica DNG from an unprofiled camera.
