stuny Posted August 29, 2018 Share #2 Posted August 29, 2018 Very nice. Are you certain you didn't originally find it during a dive?
pgk Posted August 29, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted August 29, 2018 Very nice. Are you certain you didn't originally find it during a dive? Not this one. There is a car sitting on its roof in a nearby lake - not sure what make or model. Never quite plucked up the courage to open the boot .....
pedaes Posted August 29, 2018 Share #4 Posted August 29, 2018 Interesting to see in this original 'barn' condition. Maybe its not going to be restored soon, but bet it will be one day.

Graham (G4FUJ) Posted August 30, 2018 Share #6 Posted August 30, 2018 Where is the museum Paul? The E-type is interesting, but I spent more time staring at the bikes in the background
pgk Posted August 30, 2018 Author Share #7 Posted August 30, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Where is the museum Paul? The E-type is interesting, but I spent more time staring at the bikes in the background Its in the Isle of Man - other museums there might be even more interesting to you - I was intrigued by the Norton Rotary on display though. I was there briefly during the Classic TT which sadly I could not see - but I could hear it, even from the harbour as we sailed away!!!
Ouroboros Posted August 30, 2018 Share #8 Posted August 30, 2018 Reminds me of the time an E Type V12 ran into the back of my 100E Ford Popular in 1971. I got out of my car whilst the other driver was trying to reverse his car out from underneath mine. It became clear he did not intend to stop and exchange details and I had to leap out of the way as he roared off. He didn’t get very far, he crashed his E Type into a wall about 100 yards away and what started off as a minor incident ended up with him in Court. Sublimely beautiful cars, though, even when crumpled and surrounded by broken glass and plastic.
stuny Posted August 30, 2018 Share #9 Posted August 30, 2018 I've heard that Enzo Ferrari thought it the most beautiful car in the world.
