Thank you, love the perspective that 280 sometimes give

Perspective (relationship between near and far objects) derives from where you stand, not the focal length.

And you probably don’t notice that you stand further away…. 😢

SL3 + VE 90-280 The distance set at 280mm hand held. The distance to the red cranes in the background is about 25 k's. It shows most of the beaches along the way however some are hidden around a corner.

City Beach looking toward Fremantle Port VE 90-280 set at 101 mm. City Beach is visible in the image above, about 1/3 up. We looked around a sand hill and saw the sun lighting up the port and I only had 100 mm focal length available. The second groyne was cut off in my hurry as the truck was leaving for another location this morning. The colouring the sky is the reverse sunrise precisely.

Here is one from my recent trip to Iceland.  Tripod mounted, blowing wind like crazy.  I love the winter there..not that far from Hellnar on the southern edge of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.  Taken with my SL3..

Keep it. Fantastic lens even for those few times a year

It is a fantastic lens, but in the end I sold it, as I didn’t use it (I stopped photographing the theme I bought it for).

If you are in telelenses I really can recommend this lens. I am not a tele guy though…
