Viewing photos when not logged in

If I look through the forum without logging in I can see some photos that have been posted along with text, but not others.

Any photos I have added are not visible.

Why?

Is there more than one way to attach photos so that they are visible without logging in?

This is a sample picture. If I log out the picture is not visible just a file name.

The photographs which have been uploaded to this forum can be seen only when logged in. Any photographs you see when not logged in are not stored in this forum. They reside on other servers and have been included through links in the posts.

Strange thing, as what I have done : copy the image address, then post with "image link", it shows up all time.

That tells us the forum’s lock on anonymous access to own-hosted images is not controlled by permissions on the image resource but on the link embedded in the page. Off-site images are fetched by the users browser not by the forum server.

That appears to be a malfunction. It seems that pasting a link to your own image produces an address which is shown to everyone and not just the logged-in users.
