lambroving Posted August 7, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 7, 2006 Nice one. You can't get Portra 160 NC in England? Curious. No problem in the U.S.
andybarton Posted August 7, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 7, 2006 This is a very long way from England, but a beautiful picture nonetheless. Lovely scan, Leicamann.

leicamann Posted August 7, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted August 7, 2006 Thank you all, this is off the highway going towards Cawston coming from Osoyoos. Only a mile form the US Border near a town in Washington state called Oroville. Indeed the ranches and farms are slowly diminishing, blame the banks:) Regards, Leicamann
imported_peter_m Posted August 8, 2006 Share #9 Posted August 8, 2006 The other end of the Okanagan, some parts around Vernon look quit similar. Peter

moikle Posted August 9, 2006 Share #13 Posted August 9, 2006 Great photo! Is Portra 160NC really discontinued in the UK? 7 Day Shop is still showing it as available as is the kodak.co.uk web site? Mike
andybarton Posted August 9, 2006 Share #14 Posted August 9, 2006 Great photo! Is Portra 160NC really discontinued in the UK? 7 Day Shop is still showing it as available as is the kodak.co.uk web site? Mike No, although it will be difficult to buy over the counter. What do Jessops' and Jacobs' websites say? Jacobs are usually pretty good for the High Street. William thought that Leicamann was in the UK for some reason. dan_drabek Posted August 10, 2006 Share #16 Posted August 10, 2006 It's all about the light, and you caught some good light here. I passed through Lake Okanagan back in the early '70s. Beautiful place and friendly people. Would like to go back there some day. DD
leicamann Posted August 11, 2006 Author Share #17 Posted August 11, 2006 Thank you everyone for your kind words and comments. In fact this area is about 1 and a half south of Okanagan Lake. Once you get to Kelowna..its now horribly over-developed and has lost its "small town " charm. Real estate is ridiculously inflated beyond most peoples income levels. So the Bank..owns YOU.... Thanks again. Regards, Leica Mann:)
