Monochrome without doubt. I find the caption a bit sombre, though ;)

Thanks for the feedback, Jaap. It make both of us mono chaps.   :)

Wrt the caption.  These two ladies are summer residents of a rather unique place – Ocean Grove seashore tent camp that was established 149 years ago by a small Methodist church branch.  Having my house just next to the camp for many years, I do know some of the spring-to-fall tent residents, talk to them.  "End of Life" was the subject that ladies and myself cheerfully discussed just before the shot was grabbed.

Regards and best wishes.

I'll take the other side ---- I like the color (colour) if you would just back off the saturation a bit.

I think color adds some life to the photo -- with about half the amount of color to your current image.

And I'm in the middle - I like both a great deal.

Is this an urban legend, or is it true?  I think it was in the 50s on a Sunday, when the only cars in Ocean Grove that were allowed to run were the police and ambulance, that they had a head-on.

In the summers we'll sometimes do a day trip to Spring Lake.  Perhaps we can meet one of those times.

A fine capture of amusement and the aged's gratefulness for the day.

I'm a fan of the color. I think it is more sympathetic to the woman's skin condition; and I shall default to sympathy for the subject.

Thanks for the kind feedback.  Even today Sundays the beach is closed in Ocean Grove till the end of the church services at noon.  When I buying the house about 25 years ago, I had to be approved by the church organization Camp Meeting Association, and bake a lot of promises for that. Among them were: the obligation not to work on Lord's day, not to drink alcohol and, the last one, – "Do you promise to support the Camp Meeting Association with your prayers and donations?".  My written answer was: "You  bet!".  They laughed and accepted me.

If you wish to meet some time, please drop a line few days ahead to spb1941@gmail.

Regards and best wishes.
