NW67 - you are on Vacation, photograph as, when and how you will. As previously said the "N" is as one might say a specialist Lens. (t's somewhat heavy & expensive) using it as a run of the mill Lens - Well Why Not :)  Safe Journeys. L

I have the current 0.95 version. I find it hard to focus on my M10 so I often use it with the Visioflex, but this really slows things down. That said, the images when shot wide open are magical. I have attached a few recent captures.

i look forward to getting the new SL2 to use this lens. Until then, my APO Summicron 50 is my go to lens on my M10.

Regards,

Bud James

I knew it. One M10 converted and another to be traded in for the SL2 with an integrated EVF to be used with the Noctilux 0.95. With IBIS in the SL2,  you’ll be able to shoot that combo virtually in the dark wide open, Bud.

Although arguably not the best Leica lens for landscape or street (heavy, big, etc), since it is currently my only 50mm, those are what I primarily use it for.

Zion National Park (45 second exposure with 10 stop ND)

I really like that second shot; one of the few images in this thread that really have a Noctilux signature.

Thank you. I only wish I could upload a decent file size to this forum. The full sized file looks so much better - I almost didn't post when I saw what the site-acceptable file size looked like.

Yes, it's a wonderful image with nice action, lovely children having fun.  Perfect focus and composition to my eye.

Neutra, you can post bigger if you become a sponsoring member by paying an annual fee. Also don't get any advertising.  But you are new, so may want to enjoy the forum for a while to see if paying is worth it to you.

Actually, you uploaded that image far too small. Your maximum size is 1280 pixels wide, not the 480 you used. And it is 90 KB instead of the 500 allowed. A simple matter of your PP program settings. Reduce the image size to 1280 wide (high) and shrink the file by the JPG compression.  If you don't sponsor you'll need something like 8 (which is practically invisible), if you sponsor 11 or 12. And get you end-sharpening correct. Lightroom will do this automatically on export.

Look through the forum and you'll see that most members manage quite well.

On another site I upload to 1500 wide and JPG 7 despite unlimited size, to prevent image theft and they turn out excellently
